The Department of Housing and Urban Development submitted a request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to renew HUD Form 92911, which the Department uses to collect feedback from consumers who receive reverse mortgage counseling.
Form 92911 includes 21 questions, such as how did the consumer hear about the reverse mortgage program, how long did the counseling session last, where did the counseling session take place, and so forth.
A formal request to renew the form was submitted this week and published in the Federal Register. The public has 60 days to comment. NRMLA will submit its comments shortly. Others wishing to do so can follow the submission instructions in the Federal Register notice. Form 92911 must be renewed every three years. Instead of making changes or creating a new form from scratch – a process that can take 8 to 10 months – HUD’s Office of Housing Counseling (OHC) decided to renew the current version.
