Form HUD-9902 Counseling Data Due July 31

Form HUD-9902 Counseling Data Due July 31

In a listserv announcement sent on July 3, the Department of Housing and Urban Development reminded housing counseling agencies (HCAs) to submit their third quarter Form HUD-9902 performance data by July 31. Counseling agencies must submit client data for both the second and third quarters of the current federal fiscal year that began last October 1.

Form HUD-9902 quarterly reports identify housing counseling trends and client demographics and helps HUD assess the impact of services offered by HCAs. HUD includes the data in its reports to Congress that help substantiate annual requests for housing counseling grant funds.

HCAs that do not transmit their Form HUD-9902 reports by the due date may jeopardize their status as a HUD-approved housing counseling agency. For more information on Form HUD-9902 reporting requirements, please review HUD’s 9902 Desk Guide or contact HUD for additional technical at housing.counseling@hud.gov.
