The Senate Banking Committee conducted separate hearings this past week for Kathleen Laura Kraninger and Michael R. Bright, President Donald Trump’s nominees to run the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection and Ginnie Mae, respectively, to assess their qualifications.
No dates have been scheduled yet for the Banking Committee to vote on either nomination. If Kraninger and Bright are confirmed by the Banking Committee, their nominations must be approved by the full Senate before they assume their leadership roles.
