FHA Automates User ID Assignment Process for Mortgagees and Roster Appraisers

The Federal Housing Administration issued FHA Info #18-44 announcing that the FHA Connection system will automate its Application Coordinator User Identification (ID) assignment process beginning on November 9, 2018. At that time, FHA will discontinue mailing paper documentation to a mortgagee’s chief executive officer when a new user ID has been assigned to one of their employees.

Notifications will be delivered via e-mail to the mortgagee’s administrative contact assigned in FHA’s Lender Electronic Assessment Portal (LEAP) system. Mortgagees should verify the contact information in the LEAP system prior to November 9th and update, if necessary.

Also beginning November 9, FHA will discontinue mailing paper documentation notifying its Roster Appraisers of the issuance of FHAC user IDs. Notifications will be delivered via e-mail using appraisers’ e-mail addresses on file in FHAC. Roster appraisers should verify the contact information in the FHAC system prior to November 9th and update, if necessary.
