The Federal Housing Administration extended its foreclosure and eviction moratorium through August 31, 2020. The announcement was made in Mortgagee Letter 2020-19.
This guidance is applicable to all FHA Title II single family forward mortgages and Home Equity Conversion Mortgages, except for those secured by vacant and/or abandoned properties. This action further helps those individuals and families with FHA-insured homes who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 National Emergency.
