As a former HUD Deputy Assistant Secretary\, he has deep experience in FHA and Ginnie Mae (as well as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) requirements\, issues\, and opportunities\, and also is Co-General Counsel of NRMLA. Jim also formerly served as a director (and as initial lead director and as chair of the Compensation Committee) of MFA Financial\, Inc.\, a multi-billion-dollar NYSE-listed REIT that invests\, on a leveraged basis\, in residential mortgage financial assets and that is the owner of Lima One Capital. \nBob Niemi\, Weiner Brodsky Kider PC\nBob Niemi brings a unique perspective to achieving workable outcomes for complex matters. Bob’s work in the mortgage industry began over 35 years ago and includes positions held at all levels of bank and non-bank mortgage companies. Bob served as Executive Director of the Ohio Mortgage Bankers Association Board and then Deputy Superintendent for the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions. Since returning to the industry side in 2016\, Bob has earned the Certified Mortgage Banker accreditation from the MBA.\n \n  \nLindsay Stenger\, Washington State Department of Financial Institutions\n Lindsay Stenger is a Field Examiner Supervisor with the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions. Prior to starting her career as a Financial Examiner with Washington DFI in 2007\, Lindsay attended the University of Washington where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics. Lindsay has spent most of her career in the field of mortgage and personal loan origination. She also holds a Certified Mortgage Examinations Manager certification from the Conference of State Bank Supervisors. In addition to single-state examinations\, she has also been involved in numerous multi-state examinations. Lindsay also participates on the National Test Maintenance Committee and the SES Agency Advisory Group. \n\nTony Vasile\, Conference of State Bank Supervisors\nTony Vasile is the Vice President of NonBank Supervision & Enforcement for the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS). In his current role\, Tony serves as lead for the Nonbank section at CSBS\, which is responsible for managing initiatives relating to state supervision of nonbank financial products and services\, including: mortgage\, money services businesses\, consumer finance\, and debt collection. He is lead staff for the Nondepository Supervisory Committee (NDSC) and is responsible for managing the technical and organizational support to develop multistate nonbank supervisory policies and processes. At CSBS\, Tony also served as co-product owner of the State Examination System (SES)\, an end-to-end examination management system developed for state financial regulators. Prior to joining CSBS in March of 2015\, Tony served as a financial examiner for the State of Connecticut Department of Banking for 11 years and is an alumnus of Boston University.
