KYLE BUCK DIDN’T enjoy selling forward mortgages when he started in the business but found his calling when he switched to reverse mortgages. “When I was selling forward mortgages, I felt like every loan was just a transaction,” says Buck, a CRMP who is based in Boise, ID, and associated with Mutual of Omaha Mortgage. “With reverse mortgages, once you get into the stories your clients tell you, you realize each loan really can be a life-changing event.” That distinction is what motivates Buck. “If a reverse mortgage is the right fit,” he continues, “you’ve made a change that can help people for the rest of their lives.” Born inWashington state, Buck grew up in the Seattle area and then attended Naches Valley High School outside of Yakima when his fam- ily moved to the central part of the state.
