New View Advisors provides strategic advisory, product development, credit risk management, and valuation services to the reverse mortgage industry. Mike worked on some of the mortgage industry's earliest structured cash flow transactions before establishing himself in corporate finance and M&A in the 1990s. In the decade prior to forming New View Advisors in 2008, he led teams of professionals to buy, sell, and operate portfolio companies at Lehman Brothers, including Financial Freedom Senior Funding Corporation, then the nation's largest reverse mortgage originator and servicer. Mr. McCully received his BA in Economics from Cornell University. Jim McMinn, Longbridge Financial Jim McMinn is Sales Training Manager at Longbridge Financial. An industry veteran, Jim brings 25 years’ experience in sales, training and leadership roles and has worked exclusively in the reverse mortgage industry since 2002. Throughout his career, Jim has worked with several major mortgage lenders including Wells Fargo, MetLife, and most recently, Finance of America Reverse. In his role with Longbridge, Jim specializes in teaching others about all things reverse – the products, the history, the regulations, and his proven sales techniques. He has a passion for building relationships and takes a special sense of pride in coaching Longbridge sales staff and its partners so that clients can improve their cash flow. Jim Milano, Weiner Brodsky Kider PC Jim Milano is a member of the law firm of Weiner Brodsky Kider PC, based in Washington DC, where he practices in the areas of mortgage banking, consumer finance, financial institutions and mortgage and secured transactions law. Milano serves as co - general counsel to the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association and is nationally recognized as one of the leading lawyers in the area of reverse mortgage law. A significant portion of Milano’s practice focuses on matters involving the marketing, origination and invest- ment in, and servicing of, reverse mortgages. Joshua Miller, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Joshua Miller, PhD, joined the Office of Housing on January 28, 2019, as a Senior Advisor to Deputy Assistant Secretary for Single Family Programs Gisele Roget, with a particular focus on the HECM program. Dr. Miller joined HUD in 2015 and has worked primarily in the Office of Policy Development and Research. Before that, he was a housing policy analyst at the National Association of Home Builders where he conducted statistical and economic research on various homebuilding regulations and housing policy topics. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Speaker Bios
