www.nrmlaonline.org 2020 Annual Conference 25 Speaker Bios Lisa Moriello, CRMP, loanDepot Lisa Moriello’s career spans 34 years in the forward mortgage business and 25 - plus years in reverse. Moriello manages the Shelton, CT, branch for loanDepot, a mortgage company headquartered in southern California that has originated more than $165 billion in mortgages over the past decade. She is responsible for managing the reverse mortgage division within the company and training its reverse mortgage sales force. Stephanie Moulton, The Ohio State University Dr. Stephanie Moulton is an associate professor in the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University, a faculty affiliate of the Center for Financial Security at the University of Wisconsin and a visiting scholar at the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank. Dr. Moulton specializes in the design, implementation and evaluation of housing and consumer finance policies and programs. Her current research focuses on homeownership and mortgages for older adults including reverse mortgages, homeownership programs and foreclosure interventions administered by state housing finance agencies, and programs designed to improve consumer financial well - being including credit counseling, financial coaching, and behavioral interventions. Scott Norman, Finance of America Reverse A 26 - year mortgage banker, Scott Norman led the original campaign to amend the Texas Constitution to authorize reverse mortgages in the state in 1999, when he founded the Texas Association of Reverse Mortgage Lenders. He later closed the very first reverse mortgage loan in Texas. Norman has also testified numerous times before the legislatures of California, Arkansas and Minnesota to help craft legislation to protect senior homeowners around the country. He got his start in the mortgage business in Austin in 1993, later be- coming President of the Austin Mortgage Bankers Association. Norman is cur- rently the National Field Retail Sales Manager for Finance of America Reverse and he serves as Co - Chairman of NRMLA’s Board of Directors for the 2019 - 2020 term. Scott Olson, Olson Advocacy Scott Olson is the President of Olson Advocacy Group, a firm he founded in September 2011 to provide advocacy, lobbying, and consulting services in the area of financial services, specializing in mortgage finance and housing. Previously, Mr. Olson spent over 20 years working on Capitol Hill, 15 of which he served on the House Financial Services Committee, where he was the Housing Policy Director, Democratic Staff. He worked exten- sively on housing finance issues, including GSE reform and FHA policies, as well as mortgage provisions in Dodd - Frank, mortgage modification policies, and mortgage servicing issues. Mr. Olson also has six years of private sector experience as a public finance investment banker and four years of experience in commercial real estate finance and investments. He graduated with an M.B.A. from UCLA and a B.A. from Stanford University.
