Paul Lovegrove has been practicing law for over 26 years. After graduating Law School in 1986, he joined a firm which specialized in representing lenders, buyers, and sellers in residential and commercial real estate transactions. In addition, he also was involved in estate work, such as preparing Last Wills and Testaments as well as Trusts. He has also represented estates during the Probate process. Around 1992, he became one of the first attorneys in New York State to begin representing lenders on a regular basis for Reverse Mortgages. His interest in Reverse Mortgages has only increased during the years to follow and he enjoys the feeling of accomplishment he gets when completing a closing for a senior in need. Paul is currently Executive Vice President of Senior Settlement Services, a full service title and settlement company licensed in 36 states dedicated to the Reverse Mortgage industry. Paul was the attorney who proved to the Reverse Mortgage industry that Irrevocable Trusts are allowable under the HECM program thus opening up the benefits of a Reverse Mortgage to those seniors whose homes are vested in a Irrevocable trust, this includes Irrevocable Medicaid Trusts. Besides his duties at Senior Settlement Services, Paul reviews trusts for most of the major Reverse Mortgage lenders throughout the country. These reviews are paramount for lenders who need to be certain that the trust which owns a property being used to secure a reverse mortgage meets all government (HECM) guidelines.
Chris Downey joined The Federal Savings Bank in July 3023 as HECM Senior Vice President. A graduate of Providence College with a B.S. degree in accounting, Downey began his career as a registered representative and operations manager at a securities broker dealership before joining Harbor Mortgage in 1989 as a mortgage loan originator. Downey was named vice-president of Harbor Mortgage Solutions in 1997 and succeeded his father George as president in 2004. He has been an active volunteer in community service programs, including the Pan-Mass Challenge fundraising event for cancer research.
