NRMLA Member Appointed to Counseling Advisory Committee

The Department of Housing and Urban Development appointed six new members to its Housing Counseling Federal Advisory Committee, including Carol Ann Dujanovich, Vice President and Director of Operations, 1st Nations Reverse Mortgage, Southfield, MI.

Dujanovich currently serves on NRMLA’s HUD Issues Committee and has been active in the reverse mortgage space for nearly 15 years.

Dujanovich told Weekly Report, “I am proud to represent the reverse industry with my appointment to HUD’s Housing Counseling Advisory Committee. Our mission is to provide the knowledge that individuals, families and our country’s seniors need in order to obtain, sustain and improve their housing.”

HUD said it intends to expand the committee in the future from eight members back to 12 members as authorized by statute. A future notice will be published in the Federal Register with more details on the expansion and to seek nominations for the four new members.

HUD established the Housing Counseling Federal Advisory Committee in April 2015 to advise the Office of Housing Counseling on the best uses of its resources to provide more individuals and families with quality counseling services.
