OHC Releases $7 Million to Support HECM Counseling

The Office of Housing Counseling within the Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded $6.93 million t0 48 grantees to support HECM counseling.

Housing counseling agencies received their grant packages earlier today.

The big picture: Funding will be limited to eligible activities associated with HECM counseling, including:

  • Housing counseling and group education
  • Oversight, compliance and quality control
  • Supervision of housing counseling staff
  • Housing counselor training and certification
  • Marketing and outreach
