How did you get into the reverse mortgage world?
Our first experience with Reverse Mortgages was back in 2001. At the time, our main territory for Reverse Mortgage coverage was within the State of New York. In 2006, we began moving into additional territories. Currently, Pro National Title is now licensed in 35 States, inclusive of the State of New York.
What has been your biggest professional challenge/obstacle thus far? How did you overcome/handle it?
In January of 2020, the governor at that time set into place a regulation that targeted deceptive consumer practices by requiring that both the borrower and lender have representation at closing. This placed a heavy burden on the Lenders to have a readily accessible network of attorneys to represent their borrowers. Within a few short months, our team worked diligently and built a network of disinterested third party attorneys available to borrowers within all 62 counties in the State of New York.
Why did you become a NRMLA member?
We took the opportunity to become a NRMLA member so we could introduce ourselves as a Title Provider for products and services within the State of New York and Nationally.
What do you love most about working in the reverse mortgage industry?
Providing services and insurance to a reverse lender, whose loan products provide senior citizens the ability to take equity out of their home in order to live their golden years with financial peace of mind is a highlight of our operations.
